Diligence in Residency

Diligence est un laboratoire de recherche et de prodution artistique.
Les opérateurs élaborent des installations contextuelles en mêlant leurs différentes pratiques.
Photographes, sculpteurs, plasticiens sonores, performeurs ou vidéastes, ils jouent ensemble
et proposent des situations entre atelier et exposition.

Diligence investit l'espace des Bains::connective pour deux mois à l'occasion de la résidence " Art & Ecology " .
Les expérimentations menées par les artistes autour de la notion d'écologie, prendront la forme d'une installation multimédia conçue comme œuvre-organisme ou écosystème.

Diligence is an artistic research and production laboratorium.
As an artistic nomadic perspective, the diligence project is constituted in the first place by the realization of a nomadic structure that proposes itself as well as a living structure, as a research and artistic production lab, and also as a hosting structure for event proposals. The operators elaborate contextual installations, which mix their different practices. Photographers, sculptors, sound artists, performers and video artists, they play together and propose situation between workspace and exhibition.

Diligence occupies the spaces of Bains::Connective during two months in the context of the residency
'Art & Ecology'.The experiments carried out by the artists around the concept of ecology, will take the shape of a multimedia installation conceived as an art work-organism or ecosystem. During the Plankton Bar, the artists of Diligence will experiment with the shapes that are installed, and expose their work in progress during exchanges with the public.

De acteurs van dit project zijn gehecht aan het principe 'te handelen in functie van wat zich aanbiedt', en stemmen hun onderzoek af op de topografische, sociale, economische en culturele omstandigheden dat ze doortrekken. Diligence stelt voor om bevroren plaatsen te investeren door een kortstondige artistieke activatie. Als samenwerkingsverband ontwikkelt dit utopisch project zich naargelang de realisaties en toestanden die ze voortbrengt.

Diligence bezet de ruimtes van Bains::Connective gedurende twee maanden in het kader van de residentie
'Art & Ecology'. De experimenten die de kunstenaars uitvoeren rond het concept ecologie zullen de vorm van een multimedia-installatie aannemen ontworpen als een 'kunstwerk-organisme' of ecosysteem. Tijdens de Planton Bar zullen de kunstenaars van Diligence experimenteren met de vormen die reeds gemaakt werden, en met het publiek communiceren over hun work in progress.
